Special Updates

Our
connection to World Impact is Susie Krehbiel, who grew up in this
congregation and whom you help support through your Mission dollars
each year. On March 21, the quarterly Special Offering will be received
which is used for ALL of the
FPC Mission partners.

Invitation
to sign petition on PCUSA paying for abortions
The PCUSA medical
benefits plan has no limits on paying for abortions, and churches are
required to provide this particular medical plan for their
pastors. In anticipation of overtures calling the 2010 General
Assembly to direct removal of elective abortion coverage from
the medical plan, a petition is available on
which Presbyterians can express their support for this change. If
you wish to sign, the petition is available on the Missional board
in Fellowship Hall and also on
the church website. Feel free to copy and invite others to
sign. Petitions with signatures may be given to Di Lupton or
Christy Ingalls, or sent to Presbyterians Pro-Life as shown on
petition.
Questions? Contact Di or Christy.

We
now have a
Facebook group -- check it out! www.facebook.com. In
Facebook, search groups for "First Presbyterian

Church
Email Prayer "Chain" -- if you are a church member and would
like to pray for needs of our church family as they arise, notify
Pastor Elise at the church (782-0140) or by email, ehawke@sbcglobal.net. You
will be placed on the email list to be sent prayer needs. (It's
not actually a "chain" since you would not be passing the info on to
anyone else). If you have a prayer need and would like to have
others in the church pray for you, contact Elise to discuss sending out
the prayer request. Prayer requests will NOT be placed on the
church website.
Stay
updated on church news through email -- the office maintains a
church email list (of members and regular visitors) to send notices and
updates of interest to the congregation. If you want to receive
these emails, contact the office with your name and email
address. And remember to notify the church office if you change
your email address.
Church office hours
-- keep in mind that the church office is closed on the weekend.
If you need to get info to someone for Sunday, contact the office by
Friday afternoon. Phone messages/emails left during the weekend
are not received until Monday.
