LOCATION CHANGE -- Join us in either the Parlor of in the Fellowship Hall coffee bar area. “Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”  Jeremiah 33:3 Prayer is talking to God, listening to God and enjoying the presence of God.  We need prayer because we love God; we depend on Him and are commanded to pray. (“Pray  continually” I Thess. 5:17) Prayer begins with the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, a purpose, worship and a clean heart. Are you ready to renew or increase your commitment to prayer?  If your answer is yes then you can discover new opportunities to experience God’s remarkable gift of communications called prayer! We would like for all of you to join us, especially in June, July & August; as we meet and pray together on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Emmaus room. We now have a Facebook group -- check it out! www.facebook.com.  In Facebook, search groups for "First Presbyterian Church of Olathe" Church Email Prayer "Chain" -- if you are a church member and would like to pray for needs of our church family as they arise, notify Pastor Elise at the church (782-0140) or by email, ehawke@sbcglobal.net.  You will be placed on the email list to be sent prayer needs.  (It's not actually a "chain" since you would not be passing the info on to anyone else).  If you have a prayer need and would like to have others in the church pray for you, contact Elise to discuss sending out the prayer request.  Prayer requests will NOT be placed on the church website. Stay updated on church news through email -- the office maintains a church email list (of members and regular visitors) to send notices and updates of interest to the congregation.  If you want to receive these emails, contact the office with your name and email address.  And remember to notify the church office if you change your email address. Church office hours -- Weekdays 9-3.  Keep in mind that the church office is closed on the weekend.  If you need to get info to someone for Sunday, contact the office by Friday afternoon.  Phone messages/emails left during the weekend are not received until Monday.
