"Fix these words of mine in your hearts and
minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your
foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when
you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and
when you get up."
~Deuteronomy 11:18,19
BOOK RECOMENDATION:
Some of you have come to me looking for a good book to use during your
family devotion time.
One that we are enjoying a lot at the Gordon house is the Jesus
Storybook Bible by Sally Lloyd Jones. The brilliance of
this book (and
what makes it unique) is that it teaches kids that EVERY story in the
Bible points to Jesus. The familiar stories are told in a very
conversational style and often lead us into great discussions of God's
faithfulness and love.
- Do you have a favorite book that you use/have used in
your devotional time as a family?
|
What do these things have in common?
- Sewing and stuffing handmade animals
- A spontaneous birthday party for a King
- Donuts!
- Singing, marching, and playing instruments
- Praying for and supporting one another
- Hearing God's Word and learning how to share his love
Give up? Well, all of these things have happened in the past few
weeks at Sunday School! Come join us!
