Maureen Selley, Secretary office@fpcolathe.org
Maureen and her husband, Lowell and their youngest son, Richard moved to the Overland Park area in 1990 from Dodge City, KS. Maureen had served as church secretary/executive secretary for 15 years at the First Christian Church in Dodge City. They now live in Olathe and Lowell works for Olathe Ford RV Center in Gardner. They have three grown sons, four grandsons, and one granddaughter. Maureen joined the staff in December, 2005.

Gina Crawford, Treasurer gcrawford@fpcolathe.org
Gina came on First Pres staff in April, 2006. She and her husband Greg have lived in Olathe for 16 years. They met while both were attending Pittsburg State University, and were married in 1989. They have three children, Alex, Nick, and Katie. They are a very active family and constantly on the go. Gina is an avid softball player and enjoys watching all sports, particularly her favorite athletes in action, namely Alex, Nick and Katie. She also currently is a co-leader for Nick’s Cub Scout den and coaches Katie’s softball team. Alex is on the Oregon Trail track team, so Gina has had to brush up on her knowledge of proper discus throwing technique. Gina says, "I have enjoyed my time here at the church and look forward to all there is to come."

Mike Martinie, Music Director
Mike holds a Bachelor of Music Education and a Master of Music from Emporia State University. He has led the music ministry, directing the Westminster Choir at First Pres since 1978. Mike and Maggie were married in 1965 and they have two grown sons. Mike works as an insurance agent and holds the Chartered Property/Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

Aaron Watkins, Bell Choir Director
Aaron and his wife Kathy have two children. Kathy is a microbiologist at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. Aaron graduated from US Trade School - Missouri State in 1980 with a Welding Certification. In 1982 he received a Bachelor of Music Education from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri at Kansas City, and a Master of Science in Education Administration from the University of Kansas, in 1991. Since 1985 he has been a band director with the Olathe School District. Prior to that he was the Director of Bands in Shelby County R-4 School District in Northeast Missouri.

Chelsea Vaught, Organist
We welcome Chelsea who began as organist the first Sunday of August, 2007.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Bethel College and has experience as church organist, adult choir accompanist and worship planning.  She has also served as accompanist for several vocal and instrumental soloists, musicals, the Bethel College Concert Choir and College Oratorio Chorus.  Chelsea has been playing organ and taking lessons for nine years, is currently studying with Dr. Michael Bauer, professor of organ at the University of Kansas, and will soon begin her work on a Masters of Music in Church Music-Organ Emphasis at KU.
